Why I'm Running

My Vision and Promise to District 102

I’m running for the District 102 School Board to bring my educational expertise home to the families of our community. As an elementary school principal, I’ve experienced firsthand what it takes to design effective systems, maintain strong structures, and propel a district forward.

As your Board Member, I’ll act as a collaborative partner in accountability—asking thoughtful questions, listening to the community, and serving every resident with fairness and integrity.

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Joanna since 2015 when we first moved to LGP. Most recently her experience as a principal of 7 years brought a new level of expertise in the review of the D102 safety plan. She participated as both an active parent and informed educator - not only in attending countless board meetings to advocate for systematic safety improvements but also in her willingness to share best practices from her own district.

I’ve known Joanna since our children were in preschool and watched them grow together for eight years. In 2020, she organized a clothing and toy drive for families hit hard by COVID-19, personally ensuring donations reached those in need. Her generosity allowed me to participate. Joanna is an outstanding educational administrator, mother, friend, and community member, and I’m thrilled to see her impact on the D102 School Board.
